RCF believes in the power of urban farms to reduce waste, create healthier communities, and re-connect city-dwellers with food production through more frequent encounters with agriculture.   • You Call This Yoga - Founded in 2007 by Howie Shareff, a former dentist, to help the physically challenged and under-served improve their lives with yoga. Their affordable, adaptable and socially-engaging classes are taught by compassionate, skilled teachers throughout the Raleigh/Wake County and Durham region. YogaFest NC is an annual all-day retreat featuring diverse yoga, vegan lunch, holistic healing practices and a variety of wellness exhibits with over 500 participants. Services: Leadership and Governance Coaching

  • Women’s Giving Network of Wake County - The mission of this program of the North Carolina Community Foundation is to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating members, increasing charitable contributions and strengthening the community through the impact of collective giving. Over $1.4M has been invested in nonprofits serving women and children since its inception in 2006. Grounded Role: Membership Chair

  • Loading Dock Raleigh - Located in Dock 1053 at the intersection of Whitaker and Atlantic, Loading Dock Raleigh is a shared workspace for the creative, freelancer, entrepreneur, and remote professional. The community’s shared belief is that where you work and who you work with is vitally important to the work you do, and that this happens best in the context of a diverse and very supportive community, unencumbered of the challenges of office space.   • The Justice Theater Project - Since 2004, The Justice Theater Project, a Raleigh-based performing arts nonprofit, has produced professional-quality theater that contributes to social justice outreach, education and advocacy. Each season focuses on a topic of social concern and takes the audience on a journey of self-reflection and discovery with opportunities for provocative dialogue and collaboration. JTP’s summer camps offer multi-cultural opportunities to children of all socio-economic groups with scholarships available for those in need. JTP provides a safe and welcoming space for artists to learn and grow and for the community to build bridges of empathy and understanding.  Services: Organizational Capacity Building

  • NC State Institute for Nonprofit Social Innovation Fellows - A yearlong team-based learning experience, Social Innovation Fellows will enable NC State’s young social entrepreneurs and innovators who are building the next generation of technologies, inventions and ventures to consider more fully their impact on humanity and our planet. Fellows will explore issues of ethics and sustainability at the intersection of social sector and responsible business practice and grow in understanding of themselves and the positive impact they can make in their communities and the world. Most importantly they will gain confidence, become keen thinkers and problem solvers sensitive to knowledge and cultural differences and be better prepared to leave NC State as engaged and responsible global citizens.   • Synergy Face & Body was established in 2004 by founder Anna Churchill who has over 25 years’ experience in the medical aesthetics industry. Synergy is committed to community engagement through a longstanding tradition of in-kind contributions of services and gift certificates, associate service and financial gifts to local nonprofits who contribute to the well-being of our community with a focus on arts and culture and health and services agencies serving women and children.
